SSRN Publishes Generative AI Research Preprints
The distribution of preprints in the world of academic research has traditionally served as a way to disseminate research before it makes its way through the traditional publishing channel of peer reviewed journals.
SSRN, an online preprint service and database for research reports, describes its "Generative AI Special Topic Hub" as follows:
"SSRN’s Generative AI Special Topic Hub provides a curated view into new early-stage research addressing generative artificial intelligence (AI), its potential applications in fields as varied as search technology, law, finance, and education, and evolving conversations around the ethical use of these technologies."
A special interest of mine is the use of generative AI tools for ethically supporting development of proposals and other publishable content, so I will be scanning this service from time to time to see “what’s new.”
The following is a small sampling of recently announced titles which vary widely in length and technical focus:

McCauley provides a nuanced view of open data in the CERN context that I believe helps make sense of a very complex situation.
